CSS - SRF - Secondary Solid Fuel

Secondary Solid Fuel (SSF) is a type of fuel derived from the processing of non-hazardous municipal waste and non-hazardous special waste.

It can be divided into two main types: CSS and CSS-fuel, which differ in their chemical/physical characteristics and their legal status. In fact, CSS-fuel is material that has ceased to be classified as waste and is therefore considered a new product. CSS, however, remains waste and its processing, management and use can only take place in plants authorized for waste management.
